International Transfers

The hosting infrastructure is based inside the European Economic Area, so most logs stay within that boundary. A handful of analytics endpoints and the affiliate network are hosted outside the EEA; those providers rely on the standard contractual clauses published by the European Commission. We do not sell personal data and we do not share any identifiable record with advertisers.

Cookies in Brief

First-party cookies remember whether you have dismissed the age gate and which theme the browser requested. Third-party cookies, when present, come from the affiliate tracker that counts clicks on the Mayanreels call to action. No advertising network is loaded on this site and no cookies are used to build a profile across sessions.

What We Collect

The server stores anonymised request logs for 14 days — IP address truncated to the subnet, user agent and the URL requested. Nothing you type into the site is stored on the server because there is no form that writes to a database. The affiliate tracker records the click timestamp and the referring page, nothing beyond that.

Third Parties

The site uses one affiliate tracker, one static-content delivery network and one error-monitoring service. Each one is listed in the public technology stack and each has a published privacy policy. No social widgets, no advertising pixels and no fingerprinting scripts are loaded, which is why page weight stays low on mobile.

How We Use Data

The anonymised logs help us trace crashes, slow pages and broken affiliate redirects. Click data from the affiliate tracker lets us see which pages convert and which need better copy. We do not profile individual visitors, we do not run A/B tests on identifiable traffic and we do not send any marketing email.

Contact the Editor on Privacy

The editorial lead doubles as the privacy contact for this site. Email the editorial inbox with the subject prefix PRIVACY and we will reply within the statutory one-month window. For a subject access request, include enough context — approximate dates, user agent, country — so we can locate the record inside the 14-day log window.
